Sometimes a community just needs someone to give it a reason to rally.

In November 2022, New Country 101.FIVE and The Kincaid & Dallas Show turned a week on the radio into something much bigger than music, interviews and morning-show conversation.

Together with All for Lunch, they launched the Full Plate Promise, inviting listeners across Metro Atlanta to help take the burden of school lunch debt off local students’ plates.

And Atlanta answered.

Throughout the fundraising week, listeners donated, shared the campaign and helped push the total higher. By the time Full Plate Promise came to a close, the New Country 101.FIVE community had raised an incredible $73,569.70 for All for Lunch to support Metro Atlanta schools.

It wasn’t one big check. It was a community showing up, donation by donation, for students and families right here at home.

Atlanta Listened. Atlanta Gave.

All week long, Kincaid & Dallas used their microphones for more than the morning show.

They talked about school lunch debt. They shared the mission of All for Lunch with listeners across Metro Atlanta. And, most importantly, they gave their audience an opportunity to be part of the solution.

Then Atlanta did what Atlanta does best: it showed up.

Donation by donation, listeners helped build the Full Plate Promise total throughout the week. Every contribution represented someone on the other side of the radio deciding that a student they may never meet deserved one less thing to worry about at school.

By the end of the campaign, those individual acts of generosity had become $73,569.70 in support for All for Lunch and Metro Atlanta schools.

When a Morning Show Becomes a Megaphone for Good

What made Full Plate Promise so special was the way everyone had a role to play.

New Country 101.FIVE and Cumulus Media provided the platform. The Kincaid & Dallas Show brought the campaign to life on air, giving listeners a chance to understand what school lunch debt can mean for students and families. And the Atlanta community turned that awareness into action.

For All for Lunch, the partnership created an opportunity to take that generosity and put it to work where it was needed: helping address outstanding lunch debt in Metro Atlanta schools.

That is the kind of partnership we love. One organization does not have to do everything. When each partner brings what it does best, the result can be something none of us could create alone.

More Than a Fundraising Total

$73,569.70 is an exciting number. But the reason it matters has very little to do with the number itself.

School lunch debt can begin quietly. A family falls a little short one week. A lunch account dips below zero. A few dollars become a larger balance. For families already stretching every dollar, that balance can become one more source of stress.

For a student, it is a financial issue they had no part in creating.

The Full Plate Promise gave thousands of listeners a simple way to help change that story for students in their own community. Together, they helped turn a week of radio into meaningful support for Metro Atlanta schools.

From All of Us at All for Lunch, Thank You

We are incredibly grateful to The Kincaid & Dallas Show, New Country 101.FIVE, Cumulus Media and every listener who donated, shared the campaign or helped spread the word during Full Plate Promise.

The station gave this mission a microphone. Kincaid & Dallas gave it their voices. And Atlanta gave from the heart.

That combination turned one fundraising week into $73,569.70 for local students and schools.

The Full Plate Promise showed what can happen when a microphone, a mission and an incredibly generous community come together.

$73,569.70 wasn’t simply a fundraising total. It was Atlanta showing up for its students.

And that is something we will always be proud to have been part of.
